Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens will miss Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts following a week of limited practices, ESPN’s Todd Archer reported, citing multiple sources.

Archer wrote on X that cornerback Joey Porter Jr. (ankle) and linebacker DeMarvion Overshown (back, hamstring) also will not play for Dallas. Archer listed shoulder and hamstring injuries for Pickens, whom the team had designated questionable because of his hamstring.

Dallas already had ruled out wide receiver and kick returner KaVontae Turpin for the game.

Coach Brian Schottenheimer told 105.3 The Fan on Friday that he was "hopeful" Pickens and Porter could play Sunday, although he expected some limits on both. NBC Sports attributed a similar "hopeful" comment about Pickens to owner Jerry Jones.

- CB Joey Porter Jr. (ankle) and WR George Pickens (hamstring) will be a little bit limited, but “hopeful” they’re able to play Sunday vs. Indianapolis.
- DB Caleb Downs (concussion/ankle) and S P.J.

The Cowboys posted "wheels up to Indy" as they left Saturday. Pickens made the trip, and Sports Illustrated judged him more likely than not to play before Archer’s report, citing his travel and Schottenheimer’s comment.

The inactives were expected around 11:30 a.m. ET. Dallas was to confirm who was available roughly 90 minutes ahead of the 1 p.m. ET kickoff. The Colts posted their own inactives Sunday.

Dallas elevated wide receiver Jordan Hudson and tight end James Mitchell from the practice squad Saturday. Archer wrote that the moves came as Pickens and tight end Jake Ferguson faced injury questions.

The Cowboys had made no receiver elevation in either of the previous two weeks when Turpin was ruled out.

Pickens carried a questionable designation in Week 8 as well, with hamstring and shoulder issues limiting him in practice. Even so, he played through injury for more than 40 snaps in each of the previous two games.

FantasyPros ranks Pickens as WR17 overall in fantasy despite a season Sports Illustrated described as down.

Ryan Flournoy is Dallas’ No. 3 receiver. He has caught 14 passes for 148 yards over the past three weeks with Pickens in the lineup.

Ferguson (ankle) and Luke Schoonmaker (groin) were questionable for the game. Mitchell received an elevation in Week 8, too, when he played 31 offensive snaps and 10 on special teams.

The Cowboys placed first-round pick Malachi Lawrence on injured reserve Saturday because of an ankle sprain, sidelining him for at least the next four weeks. Linebacker Marist Liufau took his roster spot after Dallas activated him. A 2024 third-round pick, Liufau has not played this season since breaking his forearm in the preseason finale.

Rookie defensive back Caleb Downs and safety PJ Locke cleared concussion protocol Friday and entered the game without an injury designation. Linebacker Dee Winters was expected to return after missing the previous two games.
