The Dallas Cowboys have made their last-minute adjustments ahead of their Week 9 battle against the Indianapolis Colts. With time winding down on the opportunity to make this a positive season, the club can't afford to lose yet another game to a below average franchise.

Before the action kicks off on Sunday, though, the club had some roster business to take care of on Saturday before they boarded the plane to Indianapolis. Dallas had already ruled out first-round pick Malachi Lawrence on Friday, and on Saturday they made the expected move and placed him on IR due to his ankle sprain. He'll miss at least the next four weeks.

To fill his roster spot the team activated linebacker Marist Liufau, the 2024 third-round pick who has yet to play this season. Liufau was initially moved to outside linebacker by Christian Parker and staff before returning to ILB later in training camp. Liufau broke his forearm in the preseason finale.

The team made two elevations as well, bringing up WR Jordan Hudson and TE James Mitchell. Mitchell was elevated in Week 8 and ended up playing 31 offensive and 10 special teams snaps. He's being brought up again with both Jake Ferguson (ankle) and Luke Schoonmaker (groin) questionable.

LB DeMarvion Overshown, WR George Pickens and CB Joey Porter are all questionable as well, with WR/KR Kavontae Turpin being ruled out for Sunday.

Rookie DB Caleb Downs and safety PJ Locke cleared concussion protocal on Friday and carry no designation into the game. LB Dee Winters, who has missed the last two games, is also set to return.

Unless Pickens is truly in doubt, Hudson's elevation likely means UDFA rookie Camden Brown is going to be inactive after playing for the first time in his career last week. He only logged one offensive snap.
