It’s worth noting that the teams shown may not necessarily end up being the final teams or the transfers may have been made in the days prior to the posting . It’s an informal situation to give you an idea of trends.
However the FFGeek team, the Transfer Planner Team and the Contributor Vote team Plus the Contributor teams of Rob, Rick, Andrew, Pete, Javier, Andy and Joe mentioned above on the FFGeek Patreon site all make notified transfers live as they are completed. So you’re always up to date and live for a maximum £4 PCM.
The 12 top FPL managers average refers to the 12 top FPL managers who finished in the top 10k Overall Rank the last 3 seasons. See my article analysing their teams
Clay’s last 12 seasons Overall ranks are 206k, 129k, 970th, 36k, 29k, 219k, 97k, 43k, 37k, 1k, 83k and 10k
GW6 points: 89 (12 Top managers average 67 ) Total points: 451, Overall Rank: 93k, green arrow 259k: Team Value: £101.4m

GW 6 Notables: Focus on 2026-27 Metas
Rule changes having big impact on BPS from defcon defenders – no longer BPS bonus magnets unless score a goal, an assist or get a clean sheet
Arsenal runaway best team but defence not quite as good as 2025-26, yet
Increase in attack across league? Up 7% through GW6 vs. 2025-26
Possible return of premiums (vs. 2025-26) outside of Bruno and Haaland
Gameweek 6 results: Solid Week…89 points and 16 points green arrow
Rogers (9 points) for Sangare immediately paid off
O’Shea’s 11 pointer offset DeCuper’s 15 pointer
89 points resulted in Gameweek rank of 126K better than my weekly 1M target and 23 points better than Elite average. Overall rank of 93.9K represented a 260K improvement
Gameweek 7: Roll
My closest temptation is Van Hecke for Gvardiol (who played 90 minutes mid-week in Champions League) but will roll the dice and keep him as he’s home to Ipswich
Another consideration is Cherki for Mbuemo
Wildcard remains a possibility most weeks but not this one
I have serious FOMO for DeCuyper, Saka, Muharemovic over the short-term
Midterm Plans
GW7&8: likely roll…Gameweek 7 could go Palmer to Saka
Plan for Chips – Benchboost and Triple Captain used. Wildcard Late (currently thinking Gameweek 9 or 17) but may push button any week due to injuries. Free Hit to be decided possibly GW16)
Tracking List
Disclaimer – typically only a small number of players in the mix with Elite managers so no need to spend time on 15th-20th candidates in midfield and defence (unless enjoy that of course)
Goalies (outside current team). Little to choose from:
Defenders (target would be Arsenal 1-2 plus 2 from below):
Midfielders (plan is to lock in 2-3 lower value mids and rotate expensive players at top end)
Forwards (prices lowered but still worse value for money vs. cheap mids and defenders)
Here’s the team assuming no transfer is made
Rob’s last 11 seasons overall ranks were 73k, 47k, 122k, 29k, 66k, 12k, 148k, 94k, 22k, 4k and 7k
GW6 points: 55 on WC (20 Top managers average 67) Total points: 384, Overall Rank: 2,601k, red arrow 632k, Team Value: £101.7m

GW6 Review
FPL 2026-27 continues to go from bad to worse sadly for my team. This week it’s the indignity of another nasty red arrow, but made even worse considering I am fresh of a Wildcard with what should be a shiny new team.
The damage was mostly done on 2 fronts this week. First up it was not covering the Brighton defence in my first 11. It was bad enough that De Cuyper continued his excellent run with a 15-point haul, but this was made worse by Brighton also keeping a clean sheet which meant I was hit by Verbruggen and Vuskovic EO too.
The other main damage came on the Captain front and there was a feeling of inevitability that this week was going sour when Saka blew that one-on-one at the end of the Leeds game, probably costing a double figure haul of points that would have at least seen me finish around my Safety Score. This was then compounded by Palmer picking up 2 assists (though picking Rogers did mitigate this to a degree) and Haaland scoring on Sunday. The one consolation was that the big EO Captain threat at my lowly rank (Bruno Fernandes) had an evening to forget against Spurs.
Not many positives to report then – I did have 6 returns, but these were all highly owned players with my differentials flopping. And to finally compound things I now have Kevin Schade flagged as well which is a thorn in my side as I look to play my Bench Boost in GW7. Much FPL soul searching needed then as we move into a busy autumn calendar.
