Tyrique George has officially left Chelsea to join Everton on a permanent deal after spending the second half of the 2025–26 season on loan at the Merseyside club.
The 20-year-old forward signed a four-year contract with Everton in July 2026, bringing an end to his long journey at Stamford Bridge, where he joined Chelsea's academy as an eight-year-old. The transfer was reported to be worth up to £24 million.
George made 11 appearances for Everton during his loan spell and gained valuable experience in the Premier League. His performances convinced Everton to bring him back on a permanent basis as the club continued strengthening its attacking options.
The England Under-21 international made 37 senior appearances for Chelsea, scoring six goals before moving to Everton. He also helped Chelsea win silverware during his time with the first team.
For George, the move presents an opportunity to establish himself at Everton and earn more playing time at the highest level. At just 20 years old, he still has plenty of time to develop his game and become an important player for his new club.
Everton supporters will hope the young forward can build on his experience and deliver goals, assists and exciting performances as the team competes in the Premier League.
His departure also marks another step in Chelsea's efforts to reshape their squad, while Everton gain a young attacker familiar with the demands of English football.
