Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala has attracted attention beyond the football pitch following reports about his residence in the German city of Munich.
The Germany international is reported to have moved into a property in Bogenhausen, an upscale neighbourhood in Munich. The residence was previously associated with former Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm.
According to a report published by Bild in November 2024 and later summarised by Bavarian Football Works, Musiala had settled into the property while continuing his career with Bayern Munich. The reports described the residence as a rental property rather than a house he had purchased.
Musiala had earlier spoken about moving out of his mother's home and getting his own apartment. In September 2024, he reportedly explained that having his own space was an important step towards independence.
The property's reported connection to Lahm has attracted interest because of the former defender's achievements with Bayern Munich and the German national team. Lahm captained Bayern to the Bundesliga, German Cup and UEFA Champions League titles in 2013. He also led Germany to victory at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Musiala joined Bayern Munich's youth system in 2019 before progressing to the senior team. He has since established himself as an important player for the German club.
Although some online reports have attached a high valuation to the Munich property, its exact market value has not been independently established. Details about its interior and ownership arrangements have also not been publicly confirmed by Musiala.
The reports offer a glimpse into the footballer's life away from the pitch while highlighting the connection between two generations of Bayern Munich players.
