Manchester United suffered another painful defeat on Sunday, October 25, after Bournemouth secured a convincing 3-0 victory at Old Trafford, increasing the pressure on manager Michael Carrick.
The result extended United’s winless run to eight matches across all competitions, leaving the club facing serious questions about its performances, defensive weaknesses and the manager’s future.
Bournemouth took control of the Premier League clash before half-time, with Rayan opening the scoring in the 38th minute. The Brazilian forward finished at the far post following a free-kick delivered by Justin Kluivert.
Five minutes later, Marcus Tavernier doubled the visitors’ advantage after a defensive mistake by Leny Yoro left United struggling to recover. The home supporters responded with boos as the Red Devils went into the break trailing by two goals.
United needed a strong second-half response, but their problems continued. Evanilson added Bournemouth’s third goal in the 71st minute after getting past goalkeeper Senne Lammens to complete an impressive afternoon for the visitors.
The defeat came just days after United lost 4-1 away to Como in the Champions League, further damaging confidence around the team.
