Four debutants in White’s squad

FOCUSING on the team’s weaknesses is Jake White’s calculated approach in his first Test as FIJI Water Flying Fijians head coach against Japan this Saturday.

White said there are no questions on what the Flying Fijians are capable of but in international Test matches, rectifying their mistakes was of the essence.

“We know what we do well, and we know what we don’t do well and we need to concentrate in Test matches and work really hard and do the things we don’t do well,” White explained.

“If we get these right, the flair and everything else will come automatically.”

Meanwhile, two debutants are in the starting XV, Counties Manukau loose forward Aporosa Vuniyayawa will start at blindside flanker while former Fiji 7s star Nacani Boginisoko has claimed the number 14 jumper.

Two potential debutants are on the bench; Nadi lock and former Army rugby team captain Peni Naruma is White’s lock cover while former footballer and Nadroga centre Kavekini Boselawa covers the back three.
