Haaland in contention for Manchester City’s trip to Aston Villa

Manchester City head coach Enzo Maresca has provided an update on Erling Haaland’s condition ahead of the club’s English Premier League meeting with Aston Villa.

The Norway striker was absent from Manchester City’s 5-1 victory over AEK in the third round of the league phase of the Champions League.

Manchester City will travel to face Aston Villa on 24 October, with Haaland potentially available to start the match.

After seven rounds, Maresca’s side sit top of the English championship table with 21 points.
