Harry Kane breaks Bundesliga scoring record after 100 games

Harry Kane marked his 100th Bundesliga appearance for Bayern Munich with a goal as the club celebrated the milestone with a 6-1 victory. The England striker has scored 102 goals in his first 100 matches in Germany’s top flight.

Kane’s tally is a Bundesliga record for a player after 100 games. He has comfortably surpassed the previous mark of 72 goals, set by Timo Konietzka in 1967.

Konietzka was a German footballer and manager who was nicknamed “Timo” because of his physical resemblance to Soviet Marshal Semyon Timoshenko.

He scored 164 goals in 218 German league appearances for Borussia Dortmund and 1860 Munich.
