Barcelona delivered another statement performance in La Liga on Saturday, dismantling Real Betis 5-2 at Estadio La Cartuja in Seville to maintain their flawless start to the 2026-27 season.

The Catalan giants sit top of the table with a perfect 9-0-0 record and 27 points after nine matches, matching the all-time best La Liga start previously set by Real Madrid in the 1968-69 campaign.

Hansi Flick’s side have now won 11 consecutive games across all competitions, scoring freely while remaining five points clear of second-placed Atlético Madrid.

Lamine Yamal was the standout once again. The teenage superstar opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a sensational curling strike from outside the area into the top corner.

He later provided the assist for Gabriel Jesus’s goal in the 51st minute, continuing his exceptional goal contributions this season.

Yamal has been central to Barcelona’s attacking dominance, registering multiple goals and assists across the campaign and cementing his status as one of European football’s brightest talents.

Rodri netted his first Barcelona goal with a header just before half-time, Eric García added a fourth after Betis were reduced to 10 men, and Dani Olmo completed the scoring late on.

Betis replied through Valentín Gómez and Abde Ezzalzouli, but Facundo Bernal’s red card for violent conduct against Yamal early in the second half tilted the contest decisively.

Barcelona’s attacking output has been relentless: they have scored 39 league goals already, more than double many rivals, while keeping a strong defensive record.

The result sets up a high-stakes week, with a Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain followed by El Clásico against Real Madrid.

Off the pitch, Barcelona continue to blend football excellence with global culture through their ongoing Spotify partnership.

The club recently unveiled a special collaboration with three-time Grammy winner Tyler, the Creator and his GOLF WANG brand for the upcoming El Clásico.

For the first time, the artist received full creative control of the matchday kit, which will feature bold “GOLF” branding in place of the usual Spotify logo when Barcelona host Real Madrid at Spotify Camp Nou on October 25.

The limited-edition collection, including numbered shirts and lifestyle pieces, drops alongside a music-and-fashion event, underscoring Barça’s unique fusion of sport, music, and street culture.

With Yamal leading the charge and the squad in record-breaking form, Barcelona look unstoppable as they chase another title. The Blaugrana machine rolls on.
