Harry Kane claimed the 2026 Ballon d'Or on Monday night at a ceremony in London. The Bayern Munich striker and England captain edged out Lamine Yamal, Rodri, Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi for the accolade.

Kane had a stellar year, winning the European Golden Shoe as Bayern secured both the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal titles. Alexia Putellas of Barcelona won the women's award.
