Medeama SC maintained their position at the top of the league table after edging Aduana FC 1–0 in a closely contested encounter, with Nana Kofi Babil delivering the decisive goal in the closing stages.

The match developed into a tactical battle, with both sides demonstrating defensive discipline and limiting the opportunities available to their opponents. Medeama looked to make their home advantage count, while Aduana remained organised and competitive in an attempt to frustrate the league leaders.

Clear-cut chances were difficult to come by as the contest progressed, and the possibility of a goalless draw appeared increasingly realistic. However, Medeama continued to search for a breakthrough, aware that dropping points could create an opportunity for their title rivals to close the gap at the summit.

Their persistence was rewarded in the 81st minute when Babil found the net to put Medeama ahead. The late goal proved decisive, allowing the hosts to protect their advantage through the closing minutes and secure a crucial three points in the race for the league title.

The victory keeps Medeama at the top of the standings with 17 points, while Aduana FC remain seventh on 13 points. With the leading positions closely contested, the result represents an important step for Medeama as they seek to preserve their advantage over the chasing pack.

For Medeama, the ability to grind out a narrow win in a difficult encounter reinforces the value of taking chances when they arrive. Aduana, meanwhile, will be disappointed to leave Tarkwa without a point after keeping the leaders at bay for much of the match, but their position in the top half leaves them within reach of the teams above them.
