Shooting Stars surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Ikorodu City in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 10 South-West derby at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos, on Sunday.
The Ibadan-based side made a flying start, with Taofeek Otaniyi opening the scoring in the third minute before centre-back Desmond Ojietefian doubled their advantage in the 36th minute.
However, Ikorodu City responded before the break, as Donald Obiajulu pulled one back in the 44th minute to give the hosts hope of a comeback.
The Oga Boys continued to press after the restart and were rewarded in the 87th minute when Obiajulu completed his brace to rescue a point for Ikorodu City.
The late equaliser denied Shooting Stars all three points, forcing both South-West rivals to settle for a share of the spoils.
Despite dropping two points after leading by two goals, Shooting Stars secured their first away point of the campaign, ending a 336-day wait for an away draw. Their previous away stalemate was a goalless encounter against Kwara United in Ilorin on November 23, 2025.
