Nico Williams linked with Paris St-Germain move as Athletic Club contract runs to 2035

Nico Williams, the Spain and Ghana international at Athletic Club, has been linked with a move to Paris St-Germain in Ligue 1.

The 24-year-old winger is valued at 40m and remains under contract with Athletic Club until 30 June 2035. The rumour would see him leave LaLiga for France, although there is no indication that a transfer has been agreed.

Williams has made eight LaLiga appearances during the 2026-27 season, scoring once. He was also part of Spains 2026 World Cup-winning squad, having recorded one assist in six appearances at the tournament.

The winger joined Athletic Club from the clubs reserve side in July 2021 and has remained with the Basque club since. He previously developed within Athletics youth system after joining from Osasunas academy.

Williams has also won the European Championship with Spain in 2024 and the Spanish Cup with Athletic Club in the 2023-24 season. His current contractual position means any move to PSG would require an agreement with Athletic Club rather than a free transfer.

The reported interest comes with Williams established as an Athletic Club player and with his long-term deal still in place.
