Cristiano Ronaldo and his wife, Georgina Rodriguez, both say it was 'love at first sight' when they first locked eyes a decade ago.

Since then, their love has only grown, with the couple growing their family, getting engaged in 2025, with Ronaldo splashing out on one hell of a ring for his other half, and getting married earlier this year.

So, as this couple continues to go from strength to strength, and as Ronaldo announces his retirement from international football, what else do we know about brunette beauty Georgina?

Apart from being the partner of arguably the most famous footballer in the world, Georgina is also a professional dancer, model, and social media influencer, boasting 77.7 million Instagram followers.

During lockdown, she kept her fans up to date with her at-home workouts while in Madeira with Ronaldo and the kids. She also regularly posts snaps of her luxurious lifestyle and lavish trips abroad.

Earlier in her life, Georgina learned dance before changing careers to modelling after studying English in London. It was while working as a Gucci store assistant that she first met Ronaldo.

She previously told The Sun: 'Our first meeting was at Gucci, where I worked as a sales assistant.

'Days later, we saw each other again at another brand's event. It was then that we could talk in a relaxed atmosphere, outside my work environment.'

Personal life

Georgina grew up in Jaca, a city in northeastern Spain and part of the province of Huesca, near the Pyrenees. She was born to a Spanish mum and Argentine dad.

She also has a sister named Ivana Rodriguez, who herself has a large presence on social media.

As a child, Georgina began going to a classical dance studio when she was four years old, where she studied ballet.

After graduating from high school, she relocated to Madrid, where she started dance lessons while also working as a vendor at the trendy Gucci Boutique.

Relationship with Ronaldo

Georgina once claimed that meeting Ronaldo at the Gucci store in 2016 was 'love at first sight' for both of them. It wasn't long after that the pair were seen walking around Disneyland Paris arm-in-arm and rumours of romance began to swirl.

In 2017, Georgina gave birth to a baby girl, Alana, now four years old. The Manchester United striker himself also has an older son, Cristiano Jnr, and twins, Eva and Mateo, from previous relationships.

In May 2022, the couple's daughter Bella was born; however, her arrival was tinged with sadness as her twin brother Angel passed away.

Speaking about the loss, Ronaldo said: 'It was probably the worst moment I passed through in my life since my father died. When you have a kid you expect everything will be normal and when you have a problem it's hard. Me and Gio (Georgina) had difficult moments.

'It was very, very difficult to understand what is going on in that period of my life.'

The I Am Georgina series shows how the dancer met Ronald and delves deeper into the origin of their relationship and gives fans a front row seat to their luxurious lifestyle.

In the first promo, Georgina says: 'I am 27 and five years ago my life changed.'

Ronaldo chimes in to say: 'It was a split-second moment I never thought it would be that big as to fall in love with her, I really didn't expect it. Georgina is the woman I am totally in love with.'

Family is the most important thing to both Ronaldo and Georgina, with the couple always putting their children first.

The proud parents shared the tragic news in 2022 that they'd lost their newborn son. In a joint statement Ronaldo and Georgina wrote: 'It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away.

'It is the greatest pain that any parents feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.'

Getting engaged

Ronaldo popped the question in August 2025, giving his love a massive engagement ring that might just be the biggest we've ever seen.

'Sí, quiero. En esta y en todas mis vidas,' which translates to, 'Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives,' the mum-of-five wrote in the caption. The couple tied the knot in August 2026.
