Manchester United are reportedly battling Chelsea and Liverpool for Galatasaray playmaker Aleksey Batrakov, according to TEAMtalk.
Who Is Aleksey Batrakov?
The 21-year-old Russia international joined Galatasaray last summer after a prolific season with Lokomotiv Moscow, where he managed 17 goals and 10 assists in 36 appearances. He has started well in Turkey, contributing to four goals in 10 outings across the Champions League and Super Lig.
Who Else Wants Batrakov?
TEAMtalk claims Arsenal have also stepped up their interest, with Manchester City in the mix. Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are admirers too, and the player is reportedly tempted by both.
His contract runs until 2030, but a £50m release clause could make any deal far simpler for his suitors.
Why Man Utd Need Another Creative Midfielder
Mason Mount has struggled with fitness since arriving from Chelsea, while Bruno Fernandes is in the final months of his contract.
Chelsea have Cole Palmer at number ten, with Morgan Rogers providing cover. Liverpool signed Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen last year, though the German has yet to find his rhythm at Anfield.
Opinion: Smart Business at Any Of The Three
Batrakov’s age, creativity and affordable release clause make him an appealing target. For United, he could be a long-term successor to Bruno if the captain’s future remains unresolved.
It will be interesting to see which club makes a concrete move, particularly with Barcelona and PSG lurking.
