Turkish football pundit Emre Bol has hailed Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, following Galatasaray’s 2-1 victory over Fenerbahçe, insisting that the sensational star is too good for the Turkish Super Lig.

Osimhen scored both goals to secure victory for the Yellow-Reds at Rams Park on Monday, continuing his impressive influence since joining the club from Napoli.

The former Napoli player has recorded 68 goals and 19 assists in 83 appearances across all competitions for Galatasaray.

Speaking on the SporON YouTube channel, Bol described Osimhen as a player capable of deciding competitions, admitting he could not recall another footballer in recent years with such a significant impact on matches.

“Osimhen is too good for this league. He’s one of those guys who finishes the competition,” Bol said via Habersarikirmizi.

“I don’t remember another guy in years who, when he’s on the field, has such a 100% impact on the game. He’s a guy who leaves his mark on the game and has a 100% impact.”

The former Lille star has enjoyed an impressive start to the campaign, scoring nine goals and providing three assists in nine appearances across all competitions.

Osimhen will be eager to maintain his fine form and continue delivering decisive performances as Galatasaray aim to finish the campaign strongly.

Meanwhile, former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has dismissed suggestions that he dislikes Osimhen, insisting that he has always supported the Nigerian international.

Oliseh said his comments about the quality of the Turkish Super Lig were not intended to undermine Osimhen, explaining that some people had misinterpreted his position.

The former Nigeria captain maintained that football leagues should be assessed according to their competitive levels, arguing that second-division football cannot be compared with top-flight competitions.

“You can’t compare second division anywhere with the first division. Why do you think it’s called the first division? It’s called the first division because that is where the highest level of football is played,” Oliseh said.
