Simone Biles knows she will be present at the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Olympics. However, in what capacity is still to be determined.

“Wouldn’t you like breaking news? I feel like that’s everyone’s main question,” Biles, 29, tells Parade while discussing her all-new partnership with Sodastream® for its Sodastream Fountain. “I’m not sure if I’ll be on the floor [or] in the stands, but I will be there in some capacity.”

“We just haven’t decided yet,” she adds.

Biles has competed in three Summer Olympic Games. Following her first Olympics at Rio 2016, she won four gold medals along with a bronze medal for balance beam. She later snagged a silver medal in the team event and a bronze medal on the balance beam at Tokyo 2020. Her last Olympics were at Paris 2024, where she earned three gold medals and a silver medal in the floor exercise.

Although she announced her break from gymnastics in November 2025, Biles still has some time to mull over what her 2028 Olympics experience could look like. In the meantime, the Olympian is trying to find a balance between navigating rest—and fun.

“Rest and fun can be kind of hard with the amount that I’m traveling, but whenever I’m at home, I like to decompress, relax, do a little massage here and there,” she shares. “Or, just do a hot bath with some Epsom salts and to relax. Or, just sitting on the couch with the dogs and watching trash TV. It’s really just whenever I’m at home with my husband.”

Biles also recently moved to Indianapolis, where her husband Jonathan Owens plays with Indianapolis Colts. At this time, she notes she’s “trying to get the hang of things.”

“I feel like we’ve been preparing for it for a while, just like slowly moving things over,” she continues. “The last thing was myself and the dogs, which we just did this week, and I’m just excited about the slower pace. It’s a lot slower than Chicago and Houston, so I think relaxation is in my future.”

Keeping her options open is why Biles’ partnership with Sodastream® for its Sodastream Fountain felt like what she calls “a beautiful merge.” The multifaceted appliance offers dozens of flavor options and roughly 1,000 possible drink combinations, resulting in endless options for the athlete to try.

“I’ve been using it for months now—a really long time,” she shares.

“I feel like it’s everyone’s dream to create their own soda with the fizz, with the taste, and just with the serving size. Especially if you want something sweet at night with dinner,” she adds. “You don’t have to have a big one, but you can have a smaller one. There’s definitely so many possibilities.”
