Michele Di Gregorio, the goalkeeper of Bournemouth, said that he was very ‘cold’ during the game last night and AC Milan’s attacking output likely had something to do with it.
Bournemouth deservedly clinched all three points in front of their fans at Vitality Stadium, but few expected the game to be that one-sided. Of course, Mike Maignan’s red card changed everything, but Milan didn’t even manage a single shot on target.
In other words, they didn’t even test the goalkeeper Di Gregorio, who’s on loan at the English side from Serie A rivals Juventus. Those of us who have seen him in the past will know that he’s not always the most solid keeper, which makes it even worse that the Rossoneri didn’t put him to the test.
Nothing to save
Speaking to Sky Italia after the game, as transcribed by Calciomercato.com, the goalkeeper said that he was very cold. The rain and cold temperature might have had something to do with that, but Milan’s poor attack also played a part for sure.
“Did I suffer from the cold weather? Tonight, yes, but that was also thanks to my teammates. When the team doesn’t concede, it’s a collective effort. I have to thank them,” he stated.
Again, despite the red card, it’s really bad that Milan could even get one show away in 90 minutes of action.
