'¿Que pasa?!' | Natalia Ramos finds a slice of home at Castro's in Liverpool
Natalia Ramos on Liverpool life, Tenerife & International call-up

The Spain international midfielder arrived on Merseyside from CD Tenerife – the club based just a few miles from her home city of La Laguna – in the summer and has settled quickly, both on and off the pitch.

A factor behind Ramos feeling so comfortable in her new surroundings is the presence of Castro’s Cafeteria, a popular city centre eatery that is owned by Borja, who also hails from La Laguna.

“When I miss [home], when I feel like I need Spanish food, family food, I come to Castro’s,” Natalia says.

“I feel here like home. Borja is from the same place, La Laguna, and for me it’s so special that when I arrived here all of my family met Borja. I’m so, so happy to be here.”

We accompanied Natalia on a recent visit to Castro’s – watch our video feature above.
