Jeglertz still confident of progressing in Champions League despite third straight draw

Manchester City Women boss Andree Jeglertz says his side still have a “great opportunity” to progress in the Champions League despite being held to another draw.

City have drawn all three of their league stage games so far after their 1-1 stalemate with Paris Saint-Germain.

Jeglertz was left with mixed emotions after City conceded late on soon after Bunny Shaw’s opener, but was encouraged by the level of performance.

“[I have] mixed feelings,” he said.

“I think the performance is very good. You end up conceding a goal at the end of the game. That’s disappointing but overall what we are performing today is showing what level we have.

“We need to win games if we want to qualify.

“We have three games left and we have played the three best-ranked teams of the six we are playing, so I think we still have great opportunities to go to the next round.”
