Tottenham Hotspur scouts made the trip to Germany to watch a centre-forward who is on their wishlist, and the player delivered in front of the North London club’s officials.
It has been widely reported over recent months that signing a top-class number nine to replace Richarlison is Tottenham’s top priority in January.
Vangelis Pavlidis, Roberto Fernandez, Endrick, Igor Matanovic, and Jean-Philippe Mateta are allegedly on Spurs’ shortlist, as the Lilywhites continue to scour the continent for a suitable target man.
It emerged last month that an Eintracht Frankfurt marksman had also caught the eye of the Tottenham scouts, and the player’s latest showing will only serve to intensify the club’s interest.
TEAMtalk revealed that scouts from the North London club were at the Deutsche Bank Park on Friday to watch Frankfurt take on FC Koln.
Not only did the game give an opportunity for Spurs to run the rule over their striker target, Younes Ebnoutalib, but it also gave them the chance to assess their loanee, Mikey Moore.
Moore came off the bench for his side in the second half but could not stop them from falling to a 1-0 loss, and the only goal of the game was scored by Ebnoutalib.
The striker, who recently won his first two caps for Germany in the recent international, is said to be admired by Jurgen Klopp, and it is asserted that Tottenham will continue monitoring him closely ahead of the January window.
Ebnoutalib has already scored six goals and provided two assists in seven games across all competitions, and his form is now said to be attracting growing attention from around the continent.

According to various reports, Spurs are expected to be more restrained in January and will look for value-for-money additions, after undertaking a substantial squad rebuild in the summer.
Tottenham CEO Vinai Venkatesham admitted to the supporters that financial regulations are a genuine constraint for Tottenham following their recent transfer outlay and bumper contracts they handed out.
