David Ajiboye seals Carlisle comeback win at Solihull

David Ajiboye sealed Carlisle’s third National League win on the road this season as they fought back to beat Solihull 2-1 at Damson Park.

Former Peterborough forward Ajiboye struck his fourth goal of the season in the 79th minute after defender Morgan Feeney had cancelled out Ben Wodskou’s first-half opener for Solihull, who remain second from bottom.

Wodskou lashed Moors ahead in first-half stoppage time from a narrow angle after Carlisle failed to clear Marvin Johnson’s free-kick, but Carlisle skipper Feeney levelled it up in the 69th minute after Miguel Azeez’s initial effort fell for him in the box.

The Cumbrians went in search of the winner and were rewarded when Ajiboye connected with a cross from the right and Moors goalkeeper Sam Johnson could not keep it out.
