EPL Table After Saturday's Matches

The Premier League title race took another interesting turn on Saturday, October 24, 2026, as Arsenal moved level on points with leaders Manchester City following their victory over Everton, while City suffered their first league defeat of the season.

According to a report by BBC Sport on Saturday, October 24, 2026, Arsenal secured a 2-0 win against Everton at the Emirates Stadium to take advantage of City’s setback at Aston Villa.

Arsenal 2-0 Everton

Arsenal collected all three points against Everton, with Ezri Konsa opening the scoring in the seventh minute to give Mikel Arteta’s side an early advantage.

The Gunners maintained their lead throughout the first half and continued to control proceedings after the restart.

Their dominance eventually produced a second goal in the 68th minute when Gabriel Magalhães found the net to make it 2-0.

Everton attempted to reduce the deficit during the closing stages but struggled to break through Arsenal’s organised defence. The hosts remained disciplined until the final whistle to secure a clean-sheet victory.

Chelsea 0-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Chelsea suffered a disappointing home defeat against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge, with the visitors scoring twice in the closing stages to claim the London derby victory.

The first half ended without a goal, but Chelsea’s resistance was broken in the 77th minute when goalkeeper Mike Penders turned the ball into his own net.

The Blues’ chances of recovering were further damaged when Cole Palmer received a second yellow card and was sent off in the 80th minute.

Tottenham took advantage of their numerical superiority, with Mathys Tel producing an impressive finish in the 87th minute to seal a 2-0 win.

Aston Villa 2-1 Manchester City

Manchester City suffered their first Premier League defeat of the campaign after Aston Villa claimed an important victory at Villa Park.

Nicolas Jackson put Unai Emery’s side ahead in the opening stages, giving the hosts a 1-0 lead that they carried into half-time.

City responded seven minutes after the restart when Erling Haaland scored in the 52nd minute to restore parity.

However, Jackson struck again in the 60th minute, completing his brace and putting Villa back in front.

Manchester City were unable to find another equaliser before the final whistle, allowing Villa to secure all three points and hand Pep Guardiola’s team their first league setback of the season.

Coventry City 0-1 Fulham

Coventry City dropped into the Premier League relegation zone after suffering a narrow defeat against Fulham.

Frank Lampard’s side appeared to be heading for a goalless draw until Oscar Bobb scored in the closing minutes to give the visitors a crucial 1-0 victory.

The late goal proved decisive, leaving Coventry disappointed after failing to secure a point from the encounter.
