According to a report by Soccernet on Tuesday October 27, 2026, The 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Tanzania’s Taifa Stars will be among the key fixtures in the upcoming round, with Nigeria targeting six points from both legs.
Nigeria will welcome Tanzania to Uyo on November 13 before travelling to face the Taifa Stars again on November 17.
Although the matches are important for Nigeria’s qualification hopes, Tanzania have already secured their place in the tournament as one of the hosts, making the results less significant for them.
Nevertheless, Tanzania are determined to collect all three points and improve their confidence, leaving no stone unturned in their preparations.
According to reports, Tanzania have selected 2pm as the kick-off time for the match. They reportedly expect the afternoon sun to be extremely hot, believing Nigeria’s players, most of whom are based in Europe, could struggle with the weather conditions.
The kick-off time has received approval from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the broadcasters, leaving Nigeria with the challenge of preparing adequately for the match while taking the weather into consideration.
