Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho has continued his impressive form in Turkey after scoring in 11 consecutive league matches for Bursaspor.

The Super Eagles forward achieved the milestone during Bursaspor’s 2–0 victory over Pendikspor on Monday, October 19, 2026. His latest goal further extended a scoring streak that has attracted attention across Turkish football.

According to reports by Punch Newspapers and Premium Times published on October 20, Iheanacho scored Bursaspor’s second goal in the 62nd minute. Halil Akbunar had given the home side the lead in the 10th minute.

The latest achievement followed another outstanding performance four days earlier, when Iheanacho scored twice and provided an assist in Bursaspor’s 3–0 victory over Muğlaspor.

That performance had seen him become the first player to score in 10 consecutive matches in Turkish professional league football, surpassing a previous record of nine successive scoring appearances.

His goal against Pendikspor extended the run to 11 league matches, further underlining his importance to Bursaspor.

Iheanacho’s performances have been encouraging for Nigerian football supporters, particularly as the striker continues to demonstrate his goalscoring ability outside the major European leagues.

The forward has also expressed pride in his achievement, acknowledging the difficulty of maintaining such consistency over several matches.

For Bursaspor, his goals could prove important as the club pursues its objectives for the season. Consistent contributions from the Nigerian striker will remain valuable as the campaign progresses.

Although the scoring streak is a significant personal achievement, Iheanacho will now aim to maintain his form and help his team secure more victories.

His latest milestone is another reminder of the impact Nigerian players continue to make in football competitions outside their home country.
