LEE 0-1 MNU: Standout Man United Players in First-Half of The Premier League Clash

According to a report by Flashscore on Sunday October 18, 2026, Manchester United took a 1-0 lead into half-time against Leeds United after Bryan Mbeumo scored in the 35th minute of their Premier League encounter.

The visitors had to withstand several dangerous attacks from Leeds, with goalkeeper Senne Lammens producing important saves to preserve their advantage. Mbeumo, Youri Tielemans, Lammens and Amad Diallo were among the standout Manchester United players during the opening 45 minutes.

1. Bryan Mbeumo

Bryan Mbeumo made the decisive contribution by scoring Manchester United's opening goal in the 35th minute. The forward connected with a cross from Youri Tielemans and calmly directed the ball into the bottom-left corner to give the visitors the lead. He had threatened earlier in the match, although his 27th-minute header from near the penalty spot drifted narrowly wide of the right post. Mbeumo also attempted a shot from mid-range in the 33rd minute, but his effort lacked the power to trouble James Trafford. Despite those missed opportunities, his clinical finish proved crucial.

2. Youri Tielemans

Youri Tielemans played an important role in Manchester United's breakthrough by providing the cross that Mbeumo converted in the 35th minute. His delivery found the forward in a dangerous position inside the penalty area, allowing him to finish accurately. The assist highlighted Tielemans' ability to create opportunities and deliver quality balls into the box.

3. Senne Lammens

Senne Lammens was instrumental in keeping Manchester United ahead after facing several dangerous Leeds attempts. In the 21st minute, he produced an excellent save to deny Tarik Muharemovic's header following a cross from the flank. He then reacted brilliantly in the 27th minute to stop Nico Elvedi's headed effort from the penalty spot. Lammens remained alert in the 37th minute, saving Ao Tanaka's low shot from outside the box. His interventions prevented Leeds from finding an equaliser.

4. Amad Diallo

Amad Diallo showed his attacking intent by making a promising run onto a long through ball in the 33rd minute. However, Leeds goalkeeper James Trafford reacted quickly to intercept the delivery before Diallo could turn it into a scoring opportunity. Although the move did not produce a shot, Diallo's movement offered United another attacking outlet.
