According to a report by London Evening Standard on Tuesday November 3, 2026, Arsenal could welcome William Saliba back into action when they travel to face Slavia Prague in Wednesday's Champions League encounter, providing Mikel Arteta with an important defensive boost.
The French defender travelled with the squad on Tuesday as he continues working towards his first appearance of the season following a lengthy absence.
Saliba has completed his rehabilitation from a back injury that has prevented him from featuring throughout the campaign, and has recently returned to full training.
Arteta confirmed the defender is available for selection, explaining that the necessary preparations have been completed to reduce the possibility of another injury setback.
"Now he's in. He's in like anybody else," the Arsenal manager explained, adding that Saliba has regained the physical capacity required before returning to competitive football.
The Spaniard also suggested that the remaining challenge involves carefully managing his playing time rather than questioning his readiness to participate.
Max Dowman could also receive an opportunity to make his first Champions League start after missing the Liverpool victory through a domestic three-match suspension.
Arteta is expected to rotate his squad, with Ben White, Cristhian Mosquera and Piero Hincapie among the players potentially receiving starting opportunities.
Myles Lewis-Skelly and Mikel Merino are competing for midfield places, while Arteta must decide whether Declan Rice should start or receive some rest.
Eberechi Eze is expected to feature despite recently experiencing a minor injury, while Viktor Gyokeres could lead the attack after starting two of Arsenal's three Champions League matches.
Kai Havertz remains another attacking option following his winning goal against Liverpool, although Arsenal are expected to manage their available attacking resources carefully.
Predicted Arsenal XI: Raya; White, Mosquera, Gabriel, Hincapie; Rice, Lewis-Skelly; Dowman, Merino, Eze; Gyokeres.
