Paris Saint-Germain youngster Senny Mayulu has further established himself as one of Europe's most promising young talents, with Chelsea potentially having an opportunity to sign him if the French champions cannot offer him a regular role in the team.
According to a report by FootballTransfers on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, the 20-year-old has recovered from his challenging start to the season and is increasingly showcasing his ability to compete at the highest level.
Mayulu's future at PSG was uncertain earlier this year as he entered the final 12 months of his contract. Discussions over a new deal became complicated, with disagreements between the club and the player's representatives becoming public.
PSG reportedly accused the midfielder of demanding an excessively high salary, while his representatives criticised the club for throwing the youngster "under the bus."
The dispute was eventually settled when Mayulu signed a contract extension that will keep him at the Parc des Princes until 2031. Despite the agreement, however, his opportunities to play remained limited during the early stages of the 2026/27 season.
By mid-October, he had played just 67 minutes, prompting further questions about his position in manager Luis Enrique's plans.
Chelsea were subsequently identified by analytics firm SciSports as one of the most suitable destinations for the France youth international, particularly if he were to be utilised in midfield.
The Blues could consider Mayulu a potential long-term successor to Enzo Fernandez, whose future at Stamford Bridge has attracted significant attention.
Nevertheless, the youngster's situation has improved considerably in recent weeks. He found the net against Lyon on October 26 before recording a goal and an assist during the full 90 minutes against Le Havre four days later.
Mayulu maintained his impressive form against Villarreal in the Champions League on Tuesday, scoring during PSG's outstanding first-half performance.
French newspaper L'Equipe praised his display as a "complete performance", emphasising his growing importance to the team.
Interestingly, Luis Enrique has recently deployed Mayulu in more advanced positions, including as a false nine, rather than using him primarily in midfield.
His Estimated Transfer Value currently stands at €48.3 million, while FootballTransfers estimates his market value to be between €43.5 million and €53.1 million.
Although Mayulu's recent resurgence could reduce the likelihood of a January departure, Chelsea are expected to continue monitoring his development as they evaluate their midfield options.
