According to a report by BBC Sport on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Barcelona, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain all recorded impressive victories in their respective matches, producing entertaining performances against Aston Villa, AS Roma and Villarreal.
Barcelona delivered a commanding display to defeat Aston Villa 3-0, with Lamine Yamal and Raphinha playing important roles in the victory. The Spanish giants took the lead in the seventh minute after an error in Aston Villa's defence allowed Yamal to gain possession and finish calmly from close range.
Villa attempted to recover from the early setback, but Barcelona continued to dominate possession and create scoring opportunities. Goalkeeper Joan Garcia also made an important first-half save to prevent Johan Manzambi from finding the equaliser.
Raphinha extended Barcelona's advantage in the 52nd minute after receiving a pass from Fermin Lopez. His effort from outside the penalty area took a deflection before beating the goalkeeper. The Brazilian winger completed his brace in the 64th minute, converting Joao Cancelo's accurate delivery with a low finish into the bottom corner. Despite Leon Goretzka hitting the post with a header, Villa could not find a way back into the contest.
Meanwhile, Manchester United produced an impressive second-half comeback to defeat AS Roma 3-2 after initially falling two goals behind. Matias Soule opened the scoring for Roma in the 11th minute, while Donyell Malen doubled their lead from the penalty spot six minutes later following a handball decision against Ayden Heaven.
United improved considerably after the break, with Bruno Fernandes reducing the deficit in the 58th minute through a retaken penalty. Matheus Cunha subsequently equalised in the 83rd minute after connecting with Fernandes' cross. Three minutes later, Cunha completed the turnaround by converting Shea Lacey's pass. However, he received a second yellow card during stoppage time, leaving United to protect their advantage with ten players.
Elsewhere, Paris Saint-Germain recorded the biggest victory of the three matches, thrashing Villarreal 6-0. Joao Neves, Desire Doue, Senny Mayulu and Fabian Ruiz scored during a remarkable first-half performance. Ruiz added his second goal in the 50th minute from Vitinha's free-kick, before David Boly completed the scoring in the 78th minute following Neves' assist. PSG maintained their dominance to secure a convincing victory.
