RMA 2-0 SEV: Outstanding Players For Real Madrid in The First Half of La Liga Match

Flashscore reported on Sunday, October 18, 2026, that Real Madrid went into half-time with a 2-0 advantage over Sevilla in their La Liga fixture after Arda Güler and Kylian Mbappé scored in a strong first-half display.

The Spanish giants made a positive start, maintaining possession well and creating dangerous opportunities in attack. Sevilla had chances of their own, but Ruben Vargas failed to convert a close-range opportunity, while their goalkeeper, Odysseas Vlachodimos, produced several crucial saves to keep the scoreline from becoming more one-sided.

Madrid eventually broke the deadlock in the 30th minute when Güler received a pass and fired an unstoppable shot into the top-right corner. Mbappé then extended the lead in the 37th minute, completing a brilliant individual run with a precise finish into the bottom-left corner.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side continued to threaten before the interval, but Mbappé had another effort blocked and Endrick failed to convert a rebound, shooting over the crossbar. Sevilla also came close through Lucien Agoumé, whose powerful attempt was denied by an excellent save.

Four Real Madrid Players Who Delivered Impressive Performances

1. Arda Güler

Güler was responsible for breaking the deadlock in the 30th minute. After receiving a pass, he produced a confident finish into the top-right corner to give Real Madrid the lead. His goal capped an effective attacking move and helped his team take control of the match.

2. Kylian Mbappé

Mbappé added Madrid’s second goal seven minutes after Güler’s opener. The forward showcased his individual quality by driving into the penalty area before finishing accurately into the bottom-left corner. He remained a threat throughout the half and had another attempt blocked in the 45th minute.

3. Endrick

Endrick made his presence felt in attack, testing Vlachodimos with a powerful low effort in the 21st minute. The young forward later delivered a pass into the penalty area to create another opening. During stoppage time, he pursued a rebound but sent his shot over the crossbar.

4. Federico Valverde

Valverde nearly capitalised on a rebound in the 17th minute after the ball fell to him on the edge of the penalty area. Showing quick reactions, he attempted an immediate shot, but the ball hit one of his teammates and failed to reach the goal.
