According to a report by Flashscore on Monday, October 19, 2026, Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho has strengthened his position at the top of the Turkish First League goalscoring chart after finding the net again for Bursaspor.
The Nigerian international scored in Bursaspor’s 2-0 victory over Pendikspor to increase his tally to 15 league goals this season, extending his remarkable scoring streak to 11 consecutive matches.
Iheanacho doubled Bursaspor’s advantage in the 62nd minute after Halil Akbunar had opened the scoring in the 10th minute. The victory gave Bursaspor another important result in their campaign, while the Nigerian continued to separate himself from his rivals in the race for the Golden Boot.
The former Leicester City striker now holds a six-goal advantage over the players closest to him on the goalscoring chart. Rei Manaj of Sivasspor and Taulant Seferi of Kayserispor occupy the next positions with nine goals each.
Julien Anziani of Manisa FK, Mame Birame Diouf of Ankara Keçiörengücü and Daniel Moreno of Kayserispor have each scored seven goals, placing them among the leading contenders behind the Nigerian forward.
Iheanacho’s latest goal came four days after he scored twice in Bursaspor’s 3-0 victory over Muğlaspor on October 15. That performance saw him become the first player to score in 10 consecutive matches in Turkish professional league football.
His strike against Pendikspor extended the historic run to 11 successive league appearances, underlining the consistency he has brought to Bursaspor’s attack since the start of the campaign.
Before Monday’s fixture, Iheanacho had recorded 14 goals and three assists in his first 10 league appearances. His latest contribution increased his goals tally to 15, further strengthening his position as the division’s leading scorer.
With Manaj and Seferi trailing on nine goals, Iheanacho has established a substantial advantage in the individual scoring race as Bursaspor continue their 2026/27 Turkish First League campaign.
