LEE 1-1 MNU: Players Responsible for Man United Disappointing Premier League Draw

According to a report by Flashscore on Sunday October 18, 2026, Manchester United dropped valuable points against Leeds United after surrendering their first-half advantage in a disappointing 1-1 Premier League draw at Elland Road.

1. Bruno Fernandes

Bruno Fernandes struggled to produce his usual attacking influence despite attempting to help Manchester United find a winning goal. In the 65th minute, the midfielder fired an effort from the edge of the penalty area narrowly wide of the left post. He also tested James Trafford with a shot from mid-range six minutes later, but the goalkeeper made a comfortable save. Fernandes wasted a corner in the 29th minute with an overhit delivery that went out of play. His inability to turn these opportunities into a goal contributed to United's disappointing result.

2. Mason Mount

Mason Mount failed to make a significant impact after coming on as a substitute in the 74th minute. The midfielder received a precise low pass in the 76th minute and created space for a shot from the edge of the box. However, his effort was poorly directed and sailed well wide of the right post. With Manchester United searching for a late winner, Mount needed to offer greater accuracy in front of goal. His missed opportunity meant the visitors were unable to turn their attacking pressure into a decisive advantage.

3. Amad Diallo

Amad Diallo experienced a frustrating second half as Manchester United struggled to find another goal. The winger suffered a knock in the 68th minute before recovering sufficiently to continue. He later took a short corner in the 76th minute rather than delivering the ball directly into the crowded penalty area. Diallo also wasted a promising opportunity to create danger when his corner in the 88th minute failed to find its intended target. In addition, he was caught offside twice in quick succession around the 85th minute, disrupting United's attacking momentum.

4. Matheus Cunha

Matheus Cunha could not provide the late breakthrough Manchester United needed after entering the match in the 84th minute. The forward attempted to make an impact during the closing stages, but his clearest recorded effort came in the 90th minute, when he tried a shot from the edge of the penalty area. A Leeds defender blocked the attempt before it could trouble Trafford. With United chasing a winner, Cunha's effort failed to produce the desired result.
