According to a post on Le Marca Sports official X account on Monday October 26, 2026, Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has declared that Galatasaray are determined to lift every available trophy, no matter what field they are in.
Osimhen made the remarks after inspiring Galatasaray to a 2-1 victory over fierce Istanbul rivals Fenerbahçe in Monday’s Turkish Süper Lig derby at RAMS Park.
The Nigerian forward scored twice in the first half to secure all three points for the reigning champions.
Osimhen opened the scoring in the 29th minute before doubling Galatasaray’s advantage six minutes before half-time.
Fenerbahçe reduced the deficit through İrfan Can Kahveci in the 62nd minute, but the hosts held on to claim the derby victory and return to the top of the league table with 22 points from nine matches.
Speaking after the match, Osimhen emphasized Galatasaray’s ambition to compete for every available title.
“We want to lift all the trophies, no matter what field they're in,” Osimhen declared.
The striker also expressed his gratitude to Galatasaray supporters, stressing that their backing for him and his family means more to him than comments circulating on social media.
“I don't care about social media. I think here the real fans are the people who support us face to face,” Osimhen said.
“There may be different comments made about my name, but the Galatasaray fans have been behind me since I arrived. They support both me and my family.
“I'm not focusing on other insignificant things. I'm very grateful for their support. I believe we'll achieve even bigger things.”
His brace against Fenerbahçe also provided a significant boost to Galatasaray’s domestic ambitions, with the Nigerian international once again delivering in one of Turkish football’s biggest fixtures.
With the Istanbul derby victory secured, Osimhen and his teammates will look to maintain their momentum and turn their ambitions of winning more trophies into reality.
