COV 0-1 FUL: Match Review and Latest Premier League Table

According to a report by BBC SPORT on Saturday October 24, 2026, Fulham secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Coventry in the Premier League, with Oscar Bobb scoring a late winner to settle an entertaining contest.

The visitors struggled to find a breakthrough for much of the match, but Bobb produced an excellent individual effort in the 80th minute to give his side all three points.

Coventry started the encounter with attacking intent and looked to trouble Fulham's defence through Brandon Thomas-Asante and Sidiki Cherif. Thomas-Asante tested the visitors early on, but his effort from the edge of the penalty area was blocked by a defender.

Fulham gradually settled into the game and began creating promising opportunities of their own. Joshua King came close to opening the scoring in the 18th minute when his close-range effort struck the crossbar. Alex Iwobi subsequently collected a rebound inside the penalty area, but his attempt sailed over the crossbar.

The visitors continued searching for an opening, with Shea Charles forcing Carl Rushworth into an impressive save in the 14th minute. Gonzalo Garcia also threatened in the 23rd minute, but a Coventry defender made an important sliding block to deny him.

Coventry responded through Thomas-Asante, who produced a dangerous effort in the 29th minute. However, Bernd Leno reacted quickly to make an excellent save and preserve Fulham's clean sheet.

Neither side managed to break the deadlock before half-time, leaving the contest finely balanced heading into the second period.

After the restart, Coventry attempted to increase the pressure through set pieces and attacking movements. Jack Rudoni saw his free kick blocked by the defensive wall, while Stephen Mfuni later forced Leno into an outstanding save with a header from a corner.

Fulham eventually found the breakthrough in the 80th minute. Bobb collected the ball and produced an impressive individual move before firing a superb strike into the bottom-left corner, leaving Rushworth with no chance of making the save.

Coventry pushed forward in search of an equaliser, but Fulham remained organised defensively. Despite five minutes of added time, the hosts could not find a way past the visitors' defence.

Fulham held on to secure a valuable 1-0 Premier League victory, with Bobb's late strike proving decisive in a closely contested encounter.
