Manchester United have reportedly entered the race to sign Bournemouth forward

According to a report from FootballTransfers, on Thursday October 29, 2026, Manchester United have reportedly entered the race to sign Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi, but the Cherries are not willing to sell him in January.

Kroupi made an immediate impact during his first season at Bournemouth, scoring 13 goals in 35 appearances. His performances attracted interest from several major European clubs, but a foot injury suffered in July disrupted his summer plans and kept him at the Vitality Stadium.

The 20-year-old recently returned to action, making a late substitute appearance against United. TEAMtalk reports that his comeback has renewed interest ahead of the January transfer window.

Arsenal were previously considered leading contenders, while Barcelona, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham have also been linked with the forward.

United are reportedly seeking reinforcements up front amid Benjamin Sesko’s ongoing injury problems. With Sesko sidelined until 2027, Joshua Zirkzee is currently the club’s only available senior centre-forward.

Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo have also been used centrally, but United are said to want a more natural striker.

Bournemouth, however, are determined to keep Kroupi. FootballTransfers reports that the club would require an offer of at least €120 million (£100 million) before considering formal negotiations. The Cherries are also reluctant to part with Rayan or Alex Scott, who have attracted interest from other clubs.

United are reportedly monitoring Club Brugge striker Nicolò Tresoldi as another possible attacking target. Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City are also said to be tracking the 22-year-old.
