EPL Table After Manchester United Lost 3:0

According to a report by BBC Sports on Sunday, October 25, 2026, Manchester United suffered another disappointing result in the English Premier League after losing 3-0 to Bournemouth at Old Trafford.

The defeat increased the pressure on Manchester United manager Michael Carrick, whose team have struggled to produce consistent performances in recent matches.

Bournemouth delivered an impressive performance, with Rayan, Marcus Tavernier and Evanilson scoring the goals that secured all three points for the visitors.

Manchester United struggled defensively throughout the encounter, allowing Bournemouth to exploit spaces and create dangerous opportunities.

The result also frustrated the home supporters, with some leaving Old Trafford before the final whistle as their team's disappointing run continued.

Following the defeat, Manchester United dropped to 16th position in the Premier League standings, having collected just seven points from eight matches.

The Red Devils have recorded only one victory, four draws and three defeats in their opening eight league fixtures. Their goal difference also dropped to minus three after conceding three goals against Bournemouth.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth climbed to 13th position with nine points after securing their second Premier League victory of the campaign.

At the top of the standings, Manchester City remain first with 21 points from eight matches, while Arsenal occupy second position with the same number of points but an inferior goal difference.

Brighton are third with 16 points, while Liverpool have moved into fourth position following their impressive performance against Brighton.

Chelsea occupy fifth position with 13 points after suffering a 2-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Newcastle United have also improved their position following their victory against Crystal Palace, while Aston Villa remain among the teams competing for places in the upper half of the standings.

Manchester United's position is particularly concerning because they are now only one point above Nottingham Forest, who occupy 18th position in the relegation zone.

Although the Premier League season remains in its early stages, Carrick will understand the importance of producing an immediate improvement.

Manchester United will face Chelsea in their next Premier League fixture on Saturday, October 31, 2026.

The encounter represents another difficult challenge for the Red Devils, who desperately need three points to improve their league position and restore confidence among their supporters.

With Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool competing near the top of the standings, Manchester United must begin winning matches consistently if they hope to recover from their disappointing start to the campaign.
