According to a report by Football London on Sunday October 25, 2026, Arsenal defender Ben White has expressed his desire to return to the England national team after opening up about the difficult period he endured following a serious knee injury.
The 29-year-old impressed in Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Everton on Saturday, providing the assist for Gabriel Magalhaes’ goal as the Gunners secured a clean sheet.
White also made his 200th appearance for Arsenal, reaffirming his commitment to the club despite being linked with a possible summer departure.
The defender suffered a significant medial collateral ligament injury in May, which forced him to miss the Champions League final and the 2026 World Cup.
He revealed that the setback took a mental toll on him but said he remained focused on recovering and returning to action. White also trained throughout the summer to regain his fitness.
Speaking about the possibility of earning an England call-up for November, White said: “Yeah, definitely; it is an amazing feeling playing for England. It’s like nothing else. If that does happen, I’ll be absolutely over the moon.”
England manager Thomas Tuchel was present at the Emirates Stadium to watch Arsenal’s victory over Everton, giving White an opportunity to strengthen his case for selection.
White also expressed optimism about Arsenal having both him and Jurrien Timber available at right-back, believing the competition and opportunity to rest could help both players perform at their best.
The Arsenal defender will now hope to maintain his form and fitness as he targets a return to the England squad.
