Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi has provided an injury update ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash against Chelsea, with Tosin Adarabioyo and Mykhailo Mudryk among the players attracting attention before the London derby.
According to a report by Football London on Tuesday, 20 October 2026, several Tottenham players are facing fitness concerns ahead of their trip to Stamford Bridge, where they will meet Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso’s side.
Adarabioyo and Omar Marmoush were both substituted during Tottenham’s 3-1 victory over Coventry City after experiencing calf problems. Left-back Andy Robertson also left the pitch in the 69th minute and was replaced by Ben Davies.
However, De Zerbi played down concerns about the trio’s availability, suggesting their problems were not serious enough to threaten their participation against Chelsea.
"No, no, no, I think there are no injuries, nothing important," the Tottenham manager said during his post-match press conference.
Destiny Udogie is another player expected to be available for the weekend fixture. The left-back missed the Coventry match after experiencing a knee problem, but De Zerbi explained that the club had opted against taking unnecessary risks.
"Destiny Udogie played 70 minutes, and he suffered a problem in his knee, and we didn’t take a risk," he added.
Pedro Porro is also approaching a return from a hamstring injury, although his availability for Saturday remains uncertain.
Meanwhile, summer signing Savio is expected to spend several weeks on the sidelines because of a muscle problem sustained before Tottenham’s warm-weather training camp in Marbella.
Lucas Bergvall is facing a shorter spell out after suffering a knee injury, with De Zerbi confirming that the midfielder would be unavailable for two weeks.
Mudryk, who joined Tottenham on a season-long loan from Chelsea, remains sidelined with an ankle problem and is not expected to return until next weekend. However, the Ukrainian winger would have been ineligible to face his parent club regardless.
Tottenham have also suffered significant long-term setbacks, with Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert ruled out for the remainder of 2026 because of anterior cruciate ligament injuries.
Despite the absentees, Tottenham are expected to have more options available than they did against Coventry.
Their first league victory of the season will also provide a confidence boost ahead of the Stamford Bridge encounter.
