According to reports by GOAL on Thursday November 5, 2026, Como captain Lucas Da Cunha has reacted to his team's remarkable 9-1 victory over RC Lens in the Champions League, describing the result as an incredible night while urging his team-mates to remain focused.

The Italian side produced a stunning attacking performance away from home, recording their first away victory in their European campaign in emphatic fashion. Da Cunha captained Cesc Fabregas' team and played an important role as Como overwhelmed their French opponents.

The 25-year-old midfielder also got his name on the scoresheet, scoring Como's fourth goal early in the second half as the visitors continued their dominance.

Anastasios Douvikas was one of the standout performers, scoring a hat-trick, while Nico Paz, Marc Oliver Kempf, Mattia Liberali, Martin Baturina and debutant Matteo Papaccioli also found the net.

The result marked a memorable European night for Como, who demonstrated their attacking quality by scoring nine goals away from home.

Speaking after the match, Da Cunha expressed his satisfaction with the team's performance, highlighting the desire and determination shown by the players from the opening minutes.

"It's an incredible night. We started with a lot of desire, we wanted to take the three points, like we always do, and this evening we were able to do that," the Como captain said.

His comments reflected the team's determination to approach the encounter with the same ambition they bring to every match.

However, despite the impressive scoreline, Da Cunha's message was also about keeping the players grounded. The captain understands that a remarkable victory should not distract the squad from the challenges ahead.

Como's performance against Lens will undoubtedly give the players confidence, particularly after such an emphatic result on European soil. Their ability to maintain their attacking intensity throughout the contest was a major factor behind the victory.
