According to a report by Daily Post on Monday November 2, 2026, Nigerian forwards Victor Osimhen and Gift Orban are leading the Turkish Super Lig Golden Boot race after both found the back of the net for their respective clubs over the weekend.

The two Super Eagles attackers have scored nine league goals each, placing them at the top of the scoring chart as the competition for the division's leading goalscorer award continues.

Osimhen maintained his impressive goalscoring form for Galatasaray when he scored in their convincing 4-0 away victory over Konyaspor on Friday.

The Nigerian striker's contribution helped his team secure another important victory while taking his personal league tally to nine goals.

The 27-year-old has continued to demonstrate his importance to Galatasaray, with his goalscoring performances making him one of the standout forwards in Turkish football.

Meanwhile, Orban also enjoyed an impressive outing for Amedspor during their encounter against Eyupspor on Sunday.

The former Lyon forward scored once and provided an assist as Amedspor secured a comprehensive 5-1 victory over their opponents.

His impressive contribution took his Super Lig goals tally to nine, putting him level with his compatriot Osimhen in the Golden Boot standings.

Although both Nigerian internationals have scored the same number of goals, Orban currently has an advantage in the assists column.

The Amedspor forward has registered four assists, compared to Osimhen's three, giving him a higher overall goal contribution.

Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah is also involved in the race, having scored eight goals for Trabzonspor.

The Egyptian international is currently just one goal behind the Nigerian duo and could join them at the top of the standings with another strike.

The performances of Osimhen and Orban represent a positive development for Nigerian football, with the two forwards demonstrating their goalscoring qualities in the Turkish top flight.

With the season still ongoing, both players will be hoping to maintain their impressive form and eventually finish as the Turkish Super Lig's leading goalscorer.
