Champions League table after matchday 4 fixtures

According to a report by Daily Post on Wednesday November 4, 2026, the UEFA Champions League standings have witnessed significant changes following the conclusion of the Matchday 4 fixtures played on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Several European heavyweights strengthened their positions in the competition, while some clubs suffered setbacks that could affect their chances of progressing to the knockout stages.

Paris Saint-Germain remain at the summit of the Champions League table after maintaining their perfect record with an emphatic 6-0 victory over Villarreal.

The defending champions have collected 12 points from their opening four matches, winning every game so far. Their impressive goal difference has also helped them maintain their advantage over other teams with the same number of points.

Real Madrid occupy second position with 12 points, having also won all four of their matches.

Jose Mourinho's men secured a dramatic 3-2 victory over AEK Athens on Wednesday to continue their impressive campaign. However, they remain behind PSG because of the French club's superior goal difference.

Arsenal are currently third in the standings after recording a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Slavia Prague.

The Gunners have continued their positive performances in the competition and remain among the leading contenders after Matchday 4.

Barcelona occupy fourth position following their impressive 3-0 victory over Aston Villa on Tuesday.

Hansi Flick's side delivered a convincing performance to claim all three points and strengthen their position among the top teams.

Aston Villa complete the top five despite suffering defeat against Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Manchester United also secured an important victory after beating AS Roma 3-2 at Old Trafford. The result strengthened their position in the standings as they continued their Champions League campaign.

Other notable results included Liverpool's disappointing 3-2 defeat against Fenerbahce, while Bayern Munich defeated Atletico Madrid 2-0.

Manchester City also recorded an important 3-2 away victory against RB Leipzig, while Porto thrashed Napoli 4-1.

At the bottom of the standings, Lens, Slavia Prague, Lille and Slovan Bratislava occupy the final four positions following the conclusion of the fourth round of matches.

The results have increased the competition for places in the knockout stages, with several clubs still hoping to improve their positions in the remaining fixtures.

With four matchdays completed, PSG and Real Madrid have emerged as the early pace-setters, while Arsenal, Barcelona and Aston Villa are also among the leading teams.

The remaining fixtures are expected to produce further changes as clubs continue their battle to secure qualification for the next stage of the Champions League.
