WSL Table After Chelsea Won 6-0

According to a report by BBC Sport on Sunday, November 1, 2026, Chelsea Women produced an outstanding performance to record a convincing 6-0 victory over Charlton Athletic Women in their Women's Super League clash. The Blues displayed their attacking quality throughout the encounter, with Nathalie Björn, Ellie Carpenter, Melvine Malard, Aggie Beever-Jones and Giulia Dragoni all getting on the scoresheet.

Chelsea made their intentions clear from the opening minutes, putting their opponents under immediate pressure. The visitors opened the scoring in the third minute through Nathalie Björn, who headed home from close range after connecting with Katie McCabe's corner kick.

The London side continued their impressive start when Melvine Malard doubled their lead in the 10th minute. Three minutes later, Ellie Carpenter found the back of the net with a well-taken effort inside the penalty area, extending Chelsea's advantage to three goals.

Chelsea maintained their attacking momentum, and Malard struck again in the 19th minute to complete her brace. Her second effort of the match further increased the visitors' lead to 4-0, leaving Charlton with a difficult task ahead.

Charlton tried to respond and create opportunities of their own, but Chelsea remained in control of proceedings. Goalkeeper Anna Koivunen produced several important saves to prevent the Blues from adding to their tally. Chelsea also suffered a setback in the 35th minute when Lauren James sustained an injury and had to make way for Erin Cuthbert.

Following the restart, Chelsea continued to dictate the pace of the game, controlling possession and putting the Charlton defence under pressure. Matsukubo came close to extending the lead before Aggie Beever-Jones scored the fifth goal in the 57th minute. She calmly finished from inside the box after receiving a quality pass from Keira Walsh.

The Blues showed no signs of slowing down despite making several substitutions. Hamano, Dragoni and Thompson were introduced into the game, and their involvement quickly paid off. In the 66th minute, Giulia Dragoni added Chelsea's sixth goal, sending a precise finish into the bottom corner following an assist from Thompson.

Chelsea continued to create chances as they looked to increase their already impressive advantage. Hamano came close to finding the net, but her attempt struck the crossbar, while Baltimore also saw an effort hit the post.

Despite their attempts to find a consolation goal, Charlton were unable to break through Chelsea's defence. The visitors maintained their comfortable lead until the final whistle, completing an emphatic away victory.

Chelsea's comprehensive 6-0 win represents another impressive display of their quality and attacking strength in the Women's Super League. The result could also prove valuable as the Blues continue their pursuit of a strong position in the league standings.
