According to a report by Channels TV on Monday October 26, 2026, Spain and Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal has won the Men’s Young Talent of the Year award at the 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony in London. It is his third award in a row, after he took the same prize in 2024 and 2025.
The report said the 19-year-old also won the 2026 FIFA World Cup with Spain and continues to play a major part in Barcelona’s season. Yamal’s run of wins shows how quickly he has become one of the most closely watched young players in world football.
Another Barcelona player, Vicky Lopez, won the Women’s Young Talent of the Year award. Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka took the Socrates Award, according to the report.
Spanish football picked up most of the other prizes announced at that stage. Pere Romeu of Barcelona won Women’s Coach of the Year, while Luis de la Fuente, who manages the Spain men’s team, won the men’s coaching award. Barcelona’s Cata Coll was named Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year, and Athletic Bilbao’s Unai Simon took the men’s goalkeeper award. Barcelona also won Women’s Club of the Year.
The Channels TV report covered only the awards announced up to that point in the ceremony, and it did not mention the main Ballon d’Or prizes.
