The 2027 January transfer window will open at different times across Europe's major leagues, with clubs preparing to strengthen their squads ahead of the second half of the season.
According to a report by FootballTransfers on Thursday, 5 November 2026, the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Saudi Pro League have confirmed their respective dates for the winter transfer market.
The Premier League, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 windows will open on 1 January 2027, while La Liga and Serie A will begin on 2 January. However, Italy has requested FIFA's approval to bring forward its opening date to 28 December 2026.
The Saudi Pro League will open its transfer window on 3 January.
Regarding the closing dates, the Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 windows will shut on Monday, 1 February. La Liga clubs will have until Tuesday, 2 February, while the Saudi Pro League window will close on Sunday, 31 January.
Several major transfers could take place during the January market as clubs look to address weaknesses in their squads.
Chelsea have been linked with Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott as they consider strengthening their central midfield options.
Arsenal are also monitoring attacking reinforcements, with Atletico Madrid winger Alex Baena and Monza striker Gustavo Varela among the players reportedly on their radar.
However, spending is not expected to reach the levels recorded during the previous summer, when several players moved for fees exceeding €100 million.
Antoine Semenyo was the biggest signing of the previous January window, completing a reported €72 million transfer to Manchester City.
With the winter market approaching, clubs will have another opportunity to strengthen their squads, negotiate deals and improve their chances of achieving their targets during the remainder of the 2026/27 season.
