Arsenal squad 'confirmed' for Liverpool test with Noni Madueke and Riccardo Calafiori injury update

According to a report by Evening Standard on Sunday November 1, 2026, Arsenal have received a boost ahead of their Premier League showdown with Liverpool at Anfield, with Noni Madueke, Riccardo Calafiori and Christos Tzolis all spotted with the travelling squad.

Mikel Arteta's side face a difficult test against the Reds on Sunday as they look to strengthen their position in the Premier League title race.

Madueke had been a major doubt for the encounter after suffering an ankle injury that prevented him from completing full training ahead of the trip to Merseyside.

However, the England international was pictured alongside his teammates during Arsenal's traditional pre-match walk around Liverpool city centre on Sunday morning.

According to reports, the winger will undergo a late fitness assessment to determine whether he is ready to feature against Arne Slot's side.

Arteta had already provided an update on Madueke's condition during his press conference on Friday, explaining that the player needed to complete a full training session before his availability could be confirmed.

"We'll have a training session [on Saturday]," the Arsenal manager said. "[We'll] see if he can complete that full session and as I said, I will know whether he's available or not."

There was also encouraging news regarding Calafiori and Tzolis, who were both pictured with the Arsenal travelling group ahead of the important fixture.

Arteta had confirmed that the pair returned to training and could be available for selection if they experienced no further problems.

"They all trained today and they will train tomorrow. If everything is OK, they will be available," he said.

Declan Rice was not pictured during the pre-match walk, but the midfielder is still expected to be included in Arsenal's matchday squad.

Madueke's potential availability would be particularly important for Arteta, with Arsenal having limited options on the right wing following Max Dowman's suspension after his red card against Fleetwood Town.

The Gunners will now hope their returning players can provide the necessary options as they prepare for a challenging afternoon against Liverpool at Anfield.
