Champions League Table After Real Madrid Won 3-2, Liverpool Lost 3-2 and Arsenal Won 2-1

According to BBC Sport, Real Madrid, Fenerbahce and Arsenal all secured important victories in their UEFA Champions League matches on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. Real Madrid defeated AEK Athens 3-2 through a late goal from Federico Valverde, while Fenerbahce came from behind to beat Liverpool by the same scoreline. Arsenal also recorded a 2-1 victory over Slavia Prague after surviving a late fightback from the home side.

Real Madrid produced a dramatic comeback to defeat AEK Athens 3-2, with Federico Valverde scoring the winning goal in stoppage time.

AEK Athens took the lead in the 12th minute when Aboubakary Koita converted Luka Jovic’s pass to beat goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. Real Madrid responded in the 32nd minute through Jude Bellingham, who found the net with an impressive back-heel finish following an assist from Marc Cucurella.

Bellingham had earlier thought he had scored another goal, but his effort was ruled out for offside after a VAR review.

AEK regained the advantage in the 75th minute when Koita provided an assist for Stavro Pilo. However, Real Madrid responded quickly, with Kylian Mbappe equalising three minutes later after connecting with Denzel Dumfries’ delivery.

The Spanish side continued pushing for a winner, and their efforts paid off in the 92nd minute. Valverde received a pass from Brahim Diaz before producing a powerful shot into the bottom-right corner to complete the comeback. Koita was later sent off after the final whistle for unsporting behaviour.

Fenerbahce vs Liverpool

Fenerbahce also recorded an impressive comeback, defeating Liverpool 3-2 after falling behind twice during the encounter.

Liverpool opened the scoring in the 25th minute through Trey Nyoni, who produced a low first-time shot from outside the penalty area. Fenerbahce restored parity four minutes later when Mason Greenwood’s free-kick took a deflection off a defender before entering the net.

The teams went into the break level at 1-1, although Fenerbahce had earlier come close to scoring through Irfan Kahveci, whose effort struck the crossbar.

Liverpool moved ahead again in the 69th minute when Alexander Isak headed home Cody Gakpo’s cross. However, Archie Brown took advantage of a defensive mistake four minutes later to bring Fenerbahce back into the game.

The hosts completed their comeback in the 79th minute through substitute Vedat Muriqi, who converted Brown’s lofted delivery to secure a 3-2 victory.

Slavia Prague vs Arsenal

Arsenal continued their Champions League campaign with a 2-1 away victory over Slavia Prague, thanks to goals from Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres.

The Gunners started strongly and took the lead in the ninth minute when Gyokeres delivered an excellent pass to Madueke, who finished calmly into the bottom corner.

Arsenal doubled their advantage in the 38th minute after Mikel Merino found Gyokeres inside the penalty area. The Swedish striker quickly directed his effort towards goal, with the ball striking the post before crossing the line.

Slavia Prague improved after the break and created several opportunities to reduce the deficit. However, Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya made important saves, including an impressive effort to push Oskar Kubiak’s attempt onto the post.

Mikel Arteta introduced several substitutes as he attempted to maintain control of the match. Slavia Prague eventually scored through Wiktor Nowak in the 90th minute, but Arsenal defended their advantage during six minutes of added time to secure all three points.

The three encounters provided plenty of drama, with late goals, second-half comebacks and important victories shaping Wednesday’s Champions League action.
