According to a report by Football London on Wednesday October 21, 2026, Arsenal are reportedly considering a January move for Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi, whose impressive performances have attracted attention amid uncertainty surrounding Viktor Gyokeres' future at the Emirates Stadium.
The 22-year-old Germany Under-21 international previously came close to joining Liverpool because of his family's circumstances, before eventually settling in Germany and developing his football career with Hannover 96.
Tresoldi's father, Emanuele, explained that his wife's employment in civil aviation required frequent travel, with Liverpool once appearing their likely destination before circumstances ultimately redirected them towards Hanover.
Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Emanuele described the potential relocation as unexpected, explaining how the family eventually moved to Germany, where his son began developing into a professional footballer.
Arsenal's reported interest comes as questions continue about Gyokeres' position under Mikel Arteta, with reports suggesting the Swedish striker could consider leaving during January after struggling to secure regular playing time.
The Premier League champions reportedly maintain a strong relationship with Club Brugge, having completed the £35million signing of winger Christos Tzolis from the Belgian side during the summer transfer window.
Tresoldi has enjoyed an impressive campaign, scoring nine goals in 12 appearances across all competitions, including four strikes in two Champions League matches, strengthening his reputation as an emerging attacking talent.
His goals have included efforts against Aston Villa in September and during Club Brugge's thrilling 4-3 Champions League victory over Inter Milan, performances that have reportedly increased Arsenal's interest.
Club Brugge previously rejected a £30million offer from Roma during the summer, while subsequent reports indicate Tresoldi's valuation has risen to approximately £42million ahead of the upcoming January transfer window.
However, Arsenal may encounter competition from AC Milan, who are also reportedly monitoring the striker. The Italian club could possess an advantage because Tresoldi has supported Milan since childhood, potentially influencing his decision.
