Club Brugge send message to Arsenal over Nicolo Tresoldi transfer deal

According to a report by Metro on Tuesday October 27, 2026, Club Brugge have ruled out the possibility of selling Arsenal transfer target Nicolo Tresoldi during the January transfer window despite growing interest in the striker.

The 22-year-old has enjoyed an impressive start to the 2026-27 campaign, scoring nine goals in his first 13 appearances across all competitions for the Belgian champions.

His excellent form has attracted attention from several major European clubs, with Arsenal reportedly exploring a move as they assess their attacking options amid doubts over Viktor Gyokeres’ future in north London.

However, according to Belgian publication Het Nieuwsblad, Club Brugge are determined to keep Tresoldi until at least the end of the season, regardless of the size of any offer they receive in January.

“There is and will be no price for Nicolo,” an unnamed Club Brugge board member was quoted as saying.

The German Under-21 international enjoyed an outstanding debut season in Belgium last term, scoring 19 goals in 40 Belgian Pro League appearances to finish as the competition’s top scorer.

Tresoldi has continued his impressive performances this season, recording three hat-tricks in the space of just 26 days for club and country. His latest treble came in Club Brugge’s 3-2 victory over Sint-Truiden on Sunday.

Arsenal are not the only club monitoring the forward, with Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen also reportedly interested in his services.

Club Brugge, however, want Tresoldi to remain the focal point of manager Ivan Leko’s attack as they attempt to defend their Belgian league title and progress in the Champions League.

Leko has praised the striker’s dedication, work ethic and ability to contribute in different areas of the game.

The Brugge manager described Tresoldi as a complete forward who can score goals, link up play, press aggressively and take responsibility during matches.

Despite the club’s firm stance on a January departure, the report suggests that the situation could change next summer, when Brugge may be more willing to allow the striker to take the next step in his career.

Tresoldi’s current contract with the Belgian side runs until June 2029, meaning Arsenal could face a difficult negotiation if they decide to pursue a deal.
