Arsenal-bound teen Victor Ozhianvuna has marked another milestone in his career after winning the League of Ireland with Shamrock Rovers for a second consecutive season, according to a report by Football London on Sunday October 25, 2026.
Ozhianvuna spent his 18th birthday on January 10 and will remain with the Irish champions until his move to the Gunners becomes a reality in January 2027 after he suffered an injury.
Shamrock Rovers won the title after beating Sligo Rovers 4-0 in a dramatic finale, with their rivals Bohemians losing out to Shelbourne 1_0.
Ozhianvuna has played a key role in Rovers’ success, playing 13 games in the 2025 league and 18 this season.
In May he had a strong run of form, assisting in two consecutive games against Drogheda United and Galway United which caught the eye of manager Stephen Bradley who stated that he could be called up to play for his senior international.
Unfortunately his promising run came to an abrupt end due to a back injury which kept him out of action for around five months. Both clubs have had to be careful with his injury.
Bradley said in September that his back and hip pain was linked to his growth spurt, and Arsenal have helped with his recovery. Both clubs have been looking to ensure his development in the future.
Considering his age they have taken a cautious approach to ensure he doesn’t risk anything. Once he is eligible and fully fit Arsenal are expected to complete the move.
Ozhianvuna is expected to sign a 4.5 year deal, keeping him at the Emirates until 2031. Shamrock Rovers will also earn around €2 million from the deal with sell-on clauses.
He has already agreed to the deal so he can continue developing at the club he joined aged just six. This will be another big step in his career.
Despite missing out on playing any more due to his injury, Rovers still won the title. Arsenal fans will now be eagerly waiting for his arrival, hoping he can make a full recovery and continue to develop in North London.
